The 11th Annual New Savoy Conference Psychological Therapies in the NHS: A new deal for Depression to be held on the 21st and 22nd March 2018 at the Millennium Conference Centre, London is fast approaching. As well as focusing on the NICE guideline for Depression due out on the 21st March, the programme includes important discussions on the progress of the 5 Year Forward View; scaling up support for children and young people; the Wessely review of the Mental Health Act; the crisis and future uncertainty in workforce planning for psychological therapies; changes to NICE’s methodology for evaluation; and the impact of welfare reform on mental wellbeing, as well as in-depth workshops.

Psychological therapy services, staff wellbeing, and the current target culture: Results of the annual staff wellbeing survey conducted together with the British Psychological Society and in response to the Charter for Staff Wellbeing supported by NHS England, Health Education England and Public Health England and Wales, will be presented at the conference. It is hoped that the survey will give an insight into the experience of mental health professionals in areas such as wellbeing, stress, depression, and the demands of the 'target culture'.
