North West Stroke Conference 2018

Venue: Darwin Lecture Theatre, University of Central Lancashire

The Conference is the joint event of Royal College of Nursing (RCN) North West, University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and National Stroke Nursing Forum (NSNF).

Key audience are nurses working in stroke care, and AHPs, medics or service users are also welcome to attend.

The cost is as follows:

NSNF members and/or RCN members – free
Non-NSNF and Non-RCN members - £12 – for this fee attendees will be given one-year membership of NSNF. In case attendee does not wish to become a member, the fee is non-refundable.

Lunch/refreshments and conference materials will be provided.

Call for Abstracts / Poster Exhibition (Deadline: Friday, 8th June 2018)

Abstracts are invited on any aspect of Stroke Care. Abstracts should be submitted by email to Research Support Enquires This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Scientific Review Committee chaired by Professor Dame Caroline Watkins.

The abstract must include the following:

  • Title of abstract
  • Author/presenter name(s), institution represented, postal address, email address
  • Primary contact person for the conference information
  • An introduction, methods, results and conclusions
  • The abstract should include subheadings
  • The abstract should be referenced, citing no more than 4 references
  • The references should be presented in Harvard APA

Length should be no more than 250 words (including title, author information and references)

Successfully selected abstracts will be invited for Poster Exhibition at the conference.

Requirements for poster are: Size A1 in portrait or landscape
