Launch Event for the North West Trainee Clinical Psychologist Special Interest Group

We are delighted to announce the launch event of the North West Trainee Clinical Psychologist Special Interest Group. The aim of this group is to provide a space for peer support and the sharing of expertise. This group is open to Trainee Clinical Psychologists from the Lancaster, Manchester, Liverpool and Staffordshire programmes.

The theme for the morning is around shaping the future of Clinical Psychology.

During the morning you will hear talks from Professor Peter Kinderman (University of Liverpool); Jane Jamieson (Lead for Psychological Practice at Mersey Care NHS Trust) and Dr Richard Whitehead (Head of Psychology at Mersey Care NHS Trust) on the future of Clinical Psychology and what we can do as Trainees to actively influence and shape the profession at a service and political level.

Clare Baguley (Programme Manager for North West Psychological Professions Network, Health Education England) will also be talking about the North West Psychological Professions Network and the importance of building networks.

This is a free event and refreshments and lunch will be provided.
