Only a few places remaining! - ASPIRE: One day Workshops to Disseminate Findings and Support the Implementation of MBCT within the NHS

16 Feb 16

Accessibility and implementation of Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (the ASPIRE project) has interviewed around 200 NHS colleagues and completed 10 case studies of NHS sites offering mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) across the UK. Through this work they have developed an understanding of how to successfully implement MBCT. Our ongoing work is developing guidance to support future implementation.

These workshops will be an opportunity to hear about the work, share best practice, and contribute to the development of the implementation guidance.

These workshops are for stakeholders with an interest and commitment to MBCT implementation in the NHS. The workshops will:

  • Update on the current status of MBCT implementation in the NHS
  • Provide key lessons about what supports and hinders implementation
  • Present case examples of successful implementation, including lessons where things were not successful
  • Provide an opportunity to shape the implementation guidance

The first two 2 workshops will be at:

Oxford: 23rd of February 2016, 10am-4pm, Oxford Mindfulness Centre, Oxford.

Bangor: 10th of March 2016, 10am-4pm, Reichel Hall, Bangor.

They will be delivered by Rebecca Crane and Willem Kuyken. Our hope is that the subsequent workshops would be delivered by local implementers and dates and locations of these workshops will be circulated in due course.
